Yoga Sutra
Samadhi Pada Chanting Series with Shubha
A journey into sound, attention, and the wisdom of the Yoga Sutras.
No previous chanting or Sanskrit knowledge required.
From Sound Towards Silence
Join Shubha for a 6-week hybrid journey into chanting the Yoga Sutras, using a simple and accessible “Listen & Repeat” method.
Chanting is not just about learning the words. Through chanting, we work with breath, listening, voice and attention.
Through listening, retaining and repeating, chanting helps cultivate focus and attention. As we listen to our own voice, the sound can gradually draw us inward—from sound towards silence, and from the external towards our deeper self.
You don't need to know Sanskrit or have any previous chanting experience.
Come with curiosity and a willingness to listen and repeat.
What Are the Yoga Sutras?
The Yoga Sutras are a collection of 196 short teachings attributed to the sage Patanjali, offering insight into the nature of the mind, the practice of yoga, and the path toward inner awareness and liberation.
Rather than focusing solely on physical postures, the Yoga Sutras explore yoga as a deeper practice of understanding ourselves, cultivating stillness, and discovering the relationship between the mind and consciousness.
In this six-week series, we'll explore the first chapter, Samadhi Pada, through the practice of listening, repeating, and chanting, bringing these timeless teachings to life through sound and silence.
