Level 1
A yoga practice that offers beginning level instruction designed to safely and comfortably introduce people to the benefits of yoga. We explore movement, deepening the breath and quieting the mind. Level 1classes increase flexibility, strength, endurance, and improve balance in a non-competitive way.
Schedule: Mondays from 5:30-6:45pm with Susan, Wednesdays from 9:30-11am with Alison, Thursdays from 5:30-6:45pm with Kim, and Saturdays from 9:00-10:15am with Melissa.

A yoga practice combining level 1 and 2. We will increase flexibility, strength and awareness through asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), and meditation at a level appropriate for the students in class. Students are encouraged to work at their own level.
Schedule: Mondays from 9:30 to 11:00AM with Alison, Tuesdays from 12:15 to 1:15pm with Sunita, Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30PM with Alison, Wednesdays from 12:15 to 1:15pm with Sunita, Wednesdays from 5:30-6:45PM with Susan, Thursdays from 12:15-1:15PM with Sunita, and Fridays, Yoga for Larger Bodies from 9:30-11:00am with Alison.

A challenging practice combining asana, pranayama, and meditation: designed to deepen your yoga experience inspire your body and mind. Prerequisite: Level 1 classes or previous yoga experience.
Schedule: Mondays from 7:00 to 8:30PM with Kim.
Free Fridays
Free Fridays are offered once a month. Free Fridays are a great way to experience a practice with one of our teachers and to find out more about offerings at Discover Yoga. All skill levels are welcome ages 12 and up. Call or email us to pre-register.

YOga for larger bodies
A yoga practice combining movement and breath designed for larger bodies. Develop strength and awareness of the inner workings of your body. Modifications, including props, make yoga accessible to all while developing a sense of freedom and vitality. All levels class.

Yoga for Pregnancy
Yoga for Pregnancy is a Level 1 class. Dynamic yet gentle yoga specifically designed to support women 6 weeks to term. Prenatal exercises & breath techniques are integrated to strengthen the childbearing muscles, increase flexibility and improve circulation and digestion.
Deep relaxation restores and balances the mental and emotional states, perfect preparation for labor and birth.
Schedule: Tuesdays from 10:30 to Noon with Alison and from 5:30 to 6:45PM with Birgitte, Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:30PM with Brenda, and Saturdays from 10:30 to Noon with Melissa. top ^
yoga for new moms
begins where prenatal yoga leaves off, with soothing and energizing. The postures will include strengthening the pelvic floor muscles and abdomen, opening up the chest and relaxing your neck and shoulders. Mothers get to enjoy the increased physical strength they develop and the camaraderie being with other new mothers. Focus on conditioning and relaxation. Hatha yoga based practice includes holding postures and breath work.
Moms may attend (one or more classes) 6-8 weeks post partum or with your doctor's approval (if earlier). Each class will focus on your needs after childbirth. You may drop-in or purchase a Discover Yoga class pass.
This class is open to all Level 1 students.
